Essican Purelife CBD Oil Review

Formerly going by the name Purelife UK, Essican Purelife is a UK company devoted to producing “natural oils for health and beauty.” They have an extremely broad profile, offering a range of essential oils, fragrances, massage oils and even hand sanitiser. Clearly they’ve made good use of this experience with conventional tinctures and topicals as they’ve been able to introduce CBD into a wide range of different products. Their CBD catalogue is varied, covering all the classics expected from a CBD retailer but also offering several niche options that one might be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

Their entire approach is very clean, focusing on holistic living and the role of their products as just one element in a wider lifestyle, with “health and beauty” being the ultimate aim. Though we can’t comment about this end-goal, we certainly can take a look at the CBD Essican Purelife offers, the quality of their products and what that says about the experience they deliver for the average CBD user.

Products: Sublingual Oils

Sublingual CBD oils are some of the most popular products on the market and are perhaps the most sure-fire way to check the quality of a CBD supplier. With just the CBD itself and a carrier oil being the main ingredients, there’s little opportunity here for a sub-par CBD product to hide beneath layers of flavourings.

Essican Purelife offers two distinct kinds of sublingual oil; a range mixed with the standard MCT carrier oil and a range mixed with hemp seed oil. Whilst the MCT oil presents a lean option purely focused on the CBD, the hemp oil comes with the added benefit of the nutritional and vitamin content found in this seed extract. This is something of a niche product when it comes to CBD, but in all honesty it makes perfect sense. Certainly if you use CBD primarily as a health supplement then the additional vitamins and nutritional benefits of hemp oil are a distinct bonus.

Either range has a significant selection of concentrations, ranging from 500mg to 3000mg of CBD per-bottle. They also come as either broad spectrum or full spectrum and with a choice of applicators. Although Essican Purelife isn’t offering any variation in flavour, the sheer range of options in every other category is certainly impressive.

Products: Capsules and Gummies

CBD capsules represent a fantastic alternative for those who don’t enjoy the sensation of CBD oil or vaping, but still want a relatively fast-acting CBD experience. Essican Purelife offers its full spectrum CBD capsules at either 10mg or 25mg concentrations per-capsule, coming in tubs of either 30 or 60 capsules each. With the CBD within the capsule suspended in hemp oil these represent an easy, portable and effective CBD dosing method.

In the same way, Essican Purelife’s CBD gummies offer a convenient dosing method for beginners and veterans alike. Packing either 10mg or 20mg of CBD per-gummy, they’ve certainly got more of a hit than most conventional CBD sweets. This is unfortunately off-set by a lack of clear indication on their website as to what kind of CBD they use, though it is likely to be CBD isolate. Their gummies are also unfortunately neither vegan nor vegetarian friendly.

Service: Pastes and Extracts

CBD extracts are the purest (and therefore often the strongest) CBD products you can purchase on the UK market. Essican Purelife offers a line of higher strength CBD oils based on diluted extracts. These oils, the Raw Extract line, range from 500mg to 5000mg of CBD in just 10ml of product and are suitable for either sublingual or topical application. They come mixed in either MCT oil or hemp oil, and even offer a vaping-suitable option using a mix of VG and PG. This selection, though lacking in flavour, is still a fantastic choice for those who desire heavily concentrated full spectrum CBD.

A CBD paste is another lesser-seen products; not often found on the high-street though appealing to a particular niche of the CBD community. In essence it’s just a thicker kind of liquid CBD extract, offering exactly the same experience except in a form that needs to be spooned rather than dropped. Essican Purelife’s Whole Plant Extract Paste is a >15% concentration product coming in tubes of 1ml, 3ml and 5ml and packing 150mg, 450mg and 750mg of CBD respectively. This is certainly a high concentration of CBD for the given size, however for a CBD extract it is a little on the weak side. Many extracts will pack a full 1000mg into just 1ml of product. Although their CBD Extract Paste is something of a novelty, it isn’t necessarily the best product for the job.

Another curio of their extract range is their powdered CBD Isolate. Powdered CBD is a little more flexible in use than other approaches, essentially putting the “medium” element of CBD dosing directly into the consumer’s hands. Powdered CBD can be used either directly or dissolved in a liquid. It’s primary advantage is with the sheer amount of CBD packed into this product. As Essican Purelife is offering their CBD Isolate as a 99.9% pure CBD substance, they can pack a truly incredible amount of CBD into their tubs. These tubs start at 5 grams (5000mg) but only go up from there. It’s largest size is 1000g which, considering we usually measure CBD content in milligrams, is a ridiculously large amount of CBD to buy. This isn’t the kind of thing we would recommend for the average CBD user, so if you have a desire for a truly massive CBD stockpile, we’ll let you decide whether or not the £1,800 price tag is worth it.

Products: Topicals

Essican Purelife’s topical selections are based in their existing knowledge of conventional care products. The transfollicular absorption route is a little neglected by the CBD market, so pairing it with a proven history of topical success certainly seems to be a winning combination.

Their massage oil combines a commercially effective conventional massage oil with the added kick of full spectrum CBD, offering an either 300mg or 500mg concentration to help give any massage that extra impact. Their CBD balm has a similar approach, pairing a combination of full spectrum CBD and hemp oil with well designed skin balm. Using a balm composed of beeswax it avoids the excessive greasiness found in other skincare products, whilst the choice between a 500mg and 1000mg CBD tub expands its appeal all the further. Though their overall selection of CBD topicals is a little limited, these two products are excellent choices for those topically-focused CBD enthusiasts.

Essican Purelife CBD: Summary

Essican Purelife is a company that has taken what it knows best and expanded it to the CBD market in an interesting way.

Their oils have taken an innovative approach in using hemp oil as a carrier, offering something new in the relatively straightforward world of CBD oils. This is matched in their CBD capsules, their higher strength extract oils and even their balms, introducing the wider CBD world to the nutrients and vitamins of hemp oil.

The level of customisability they offer is certainly respectable, with the majority of their products coming in a range of strengths that vary from moderate to respectable to, in the case of their largest tub of powdered CBD isolate, downright ridiculous. They offer some relatively strong CBD gummies as well, nicely filling the role of a powerful, portable, discreet CBD dosing option. Their E-liquids seem up to scratch as well, giving eager vapers a wealth of flavour to choose from, though there certainly will be some that lament the lack of broad or full spectrum availability.

Their approach to online purchasing seems overwhelmingly consumer-friendly, offering a more than suitable service for its UK customers, though we can’t comment as to how it may serve those living outside of Essican Purelife’s home nation. It certainly seems to be taking a good approach with its supply chain, with the majority of its manufacturing occurring on-site. As is so often the case the CBD itself is coming from further afield, a necessary factor for virtually every UK based CBD supplier. However, providing they have approached their supply plans with the same thoroughness and attention that they seem to have approached their products and customer service, there’s little doubt that they will continue to be a wonderful choice for UK CBD users moving forwards.
